05549: Miniature Dutch Silver Piano - Triple Box, c. 1860. The piano bears the typical false hallmarks used during this period on several types of tourist toys. The piano also bears the German crown and moon hallmark (used between 1888-1917, see: Tardie) which guarantees a minimum of .800 fine silver. These were likely struck when the piano was offered for sale in Germany. Size: 1 5/8" tall x 1 1/2" wide x 3 5/8" long.
