05597: Whist Box with Two Shibayama Whist Counters, c. 1880. The whist box is English chinoiserie decorated papier-mâché and the two counters are Japanese Shibajama decorated rosewood. Size: Box: 1 1/4" tall x 5 5/8" wide x 4 1/4" deep; Counters: 7/16" thick x 3 5/8" tall x 2 5/16" across the tabs.
