05559: Carriage Clock, French, late 19th C. The enamel dial is set within a matted brass mask. It has a Swiss lever platform escapement that is fully jeweled. The brass case retains its original gilding. Complete with original key. Size: 6" tall handle up, 4 7/8" tall handle down to top of handle mount. Case: 4 1/2" high to top of cornice x 3" wide x 2 1/2" deep. Condition: In working order, the movement has been cleaned and oiled and is keeping very good time. The enamel chapter ring is free from chips or cracks.
